Replete with a long and interesting past, the Town of Oyster Bay is known for many significant historical and geographical elements. One of which is that while made up of 18 villages and 18 hamlets, it is the only township in Nassau County that stretches from the shores of The Long Island South (North) to the inlet of South Oyster Bay and the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean (South). Post World Wars I and II, the Town’s economy began changing to one of industry and business. Sprawling farmlands gave way to business complexes, factories and new housing. Today, Oyster Bay enjoys a well-balanced blend of commercial, residential and recreational development.
